A BIT MORE ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Meghan! Thanks for visiting my bio page. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing about your current project. I know how important it is to find an expert copy editor and/or proofreader that you can trust with the business content you've worked so hard to create, so please allow me to introduce myself.
I'm originally from the Chicago area, and I studied communication and English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I chose English specifically because of my love for grammar and syntax.
During my senior year of college, I studied abroad in Verona, Italy, and caught the travel bug. After graduating, I spent a year in Madrid working as an au pair, teaching English to the two girls I cared for while immersing myself in Spanish culture (and food).
When I returned to the US, I worked for a healthcare trade publication in Chicago, then for nonprofit organizations in Chicago and Houston. When I left Texas and moved back up north to Columbus, Ohio, I became the managing editor of three online publications covering sales, IT channel, and cybersecurity topics. I now live in Savannah because Midwest winters are just too darn cold.
Before launching my business, I completed a course hosted by Edit Republic to strengthen my existing copyediting and proofreading skills and to master two major style guides commonly used by businesses: Chicago and AP. I am detail-oriented and efficient in my work, and I can proudly say that I love what I do.
